On the Powtech 2010 in Nuernberg, the leading exhibition for powder, granule and bulk solids technologies, the Hosokawa Group presented itself as a plant supplier for a wide range of technologies for powder and particle applications.
From April 27th to 29th, visitors from all over the world updated themselves on compaction technology, crushing, milling, screening and mixing.
Hosokawa Bepex GmbH presented a benchmark for the Pharmaceutical Industry - the new PHARMAPAKTOR® C 250.
A “Through the wall design” and a sophisticated isolator with glove box, including WIP is now available for very demanding APIs.

HOSOKAWA BEPEX MOURNS THE LOSS OF MASUO HOSOKAWA

Masuo Hosokawa, chairman of the Hosokawa Micron Corporation, died on 31 March 2010 at the age of 85 in Osaka, Japan. With his passing, we have lost a charismatic personality whose passionate engagement and farsighted decisions were instrumental in paving the way for the success of the company group.
For over half a century, his engagement was dedicated to the Hosokawa Micron Corporation and to the global activities of the Hosokawa Group, an international supplier of process solutions for powder and particle technology, film blowing technology and confectionery and bakery technology. The group has production facilities in 5 countries around the world, has over 1500 employees and achieved a consolidated turnover in 2009 of 388 million USD. Masuo Hosokawa made the Hosokawa Group into what it is today, namely the foremost supplier on the sector of powder and particle technology.
After completing his studies at the University of Kyoto, he entered the family business in 1951 and succeeded his father, Eiichi Hosokawa – who founded the company in 1916, as president of the Hosokawa Micron Corporation in 1961. He stood at the helm of the Hosokawa Group from 1961 to 2008. Under his direction, Bepex became a member of the Hosokawa Group in 1992 under the name Hosokawa Bepex GmbH. In the past two decades, he created the basis for the further successful development of our company and of the entire group.
We will always honour and cherish his memory.
